Carma

I’m a big advocate of responsible business practices – beyond just good financial management! That’s why I’ve partnered with Carma.

Carma is a brilliant organisation dedicated to two things. Supporting UK veterans, and the reforestation of the UK. In other words, planting trees.

They were first founded by a Royal Navy veteran and a close friend, with a mission to make an impact on the planet while supporting veterans in their resettlement journey. They hire UK veterans to carry out their tree-planting initiatives, supporting environmental restoration and helping veterans to transition into civilian life. Its employment mixed with nature-based therapy – isn’t that fantastic?

Not only that, but they donate to multiple causes themselves, including The Standing Tall Foundation and Highground – two charities that share their passion for the environment and veteran support/wellbeing. 3% of their gross profits go to Standing Tall, and for every 1,000 trees they plant, £400 goes to Highground. So by supporting Carma, we’re able to support multiple causes in one go.

My aim by partnering with Carma is to help my clients integrate sustainability into their operations, as well as demonstrate a commitment to both the planet and the community. Together, we can foster a greener future and support those who have served our country. I believe strongly in both of the causes Carma work to support, and actually I moved to Carma from another partner because of the support they give veterans. That, and I love how transparent they are about what they do and how they do it.
